Getting Started is Simple

Unlike traditional baseline assessments that rely on screens, KAIT keeps devices closed. Students complete a short, smartpen-and-paper assessment, capturing both their work and behavioral data in real time. Results are instantly scored and delivered to the teacher dashboard. Educators can also create their own assessments using the same smartpen and Show Your Work paper.

After the initial assessment, students move into a personalized learning path, continuing to use the smartpen to document their thinking and problem-solving strategies. With Instant Feedback (now in beta), students receive immediate feedback to identify and correct errors while still engaging in productive struggle. The result is meaningful practice that builds math fluency, strengthens problem-solving, and supports lasting growth.
